‘The wide variety of projects I am able to work on at SisAdmin makes every day unique and interesting.’

What’s your role at SisAdmin?
As a field engineer, I have the responsibility of making sure our customer’s networks are up and running every day so the customer can focus on their work. This ranges from completing weekly maintenance on each customer’s server to planning and then executing a project to building a new server or entire network for a customer.

What’s your background?
I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Science in Computing and Software Systems at University of Washington Bothell. Prior to working for SisAdmin I was a freelance web developer.

What’s your favorite part of the job?
The wide variety of projects I am able to work on at SisAdmin keeps things fresh. In the course one day I may work in the office fielding calls at the helpdesk, creating a webpage, and resolving an issue on a server remotely and then travel to a client site to install a new firewall. I never have two days of work that are identical.

What do you like to do in your free time?
My leisure activities are dependent on the seasons. In the summer, I enjoy camping, swimming, and playing a variety of sports such as badminton, tennis and baseball. During the winter when there’s fresh snow in the mountains, I have a blast skiing with my buddies.
